Computer Lab Class: Intro to Excel - 9:00 am to 12:00 PM/Noon (Part 2 of 2)

The spreadsheet program of the MS Office family can be simple to use when you know the difference between a row and column. This class will break it all down very simply and have you calculating formulas by the end. We will identify the features and possibilities of the program and then learn how to create our very own workbook with multiple worksheets displaying data in graphs and spreadsheet format. Knowing how to print the data is essential and will be covered in depth. Come with an open mind to exploring how to keep track of everything from numbers to data and you will learn how much fun this program can be to use. (NOTE: This Class requires two 3 hour sessions)

NWTC offers Free Math and Reading classes at the Job Center to help prepare you for your GED/HGED, help in performing better on pre-employment tests and upgrading your basic math and reading skills. Math classes are held on Monday's and Wednesday's from 9:00 am to 11:30 am. You can sign-up and begin any time.

Job Search Support Workshop - 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM
Workshops open to the public from 1:00 to 2:30 PM. Offering a variety of topics and guest speakers to help in your job hunt

Topic: “Representing Your Resume":
Job seekers have a tendency to try to let their resume "do all their talking for them". Employers expect job seekers represent the resume and to give a realistic view of their work skills, abilities, and potential. Often times, the job seeker in the interview is not the job seeker on the resume that the employer really wanted. Learn how to get the most out of your resume and impress an employer.

The Veteran's Workshop will be held from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. These 2 hour Veteran informational group sessions will be held every other week presenting veteran issues and topics in a group setting.  Issues include:  general veteran services and programs available in Brown County, resources provided in the Brown County Job Center and job placement assistance to veterans via the Veterans Unit.

SHRM Mock Interviews - 11:00 am - 1:00 PM

The SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management - Green Bay Chapter) members will hold mock interview sessions for persons interested in improving their interviewing skills for future interviews. Mock interviews help prepare and strategize for future interviews while providing a real interviewing experience. After the interview, you will be given constructive feedback regarding you interviewing style and how you responded to the questions.

Resume Critique sessions -Tuesday- 11:00 am - 1:00 PM

The SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management - Green Bay Chapter) members will provide Resume Critiques sessions on a walk-in basis. Persons interested in having their resume reviewed and receiving construction suggestions are encouraged to stop in and have a Human Resources Specialist provide feedback on your resume.

Armour Shield Home Improvements will be doing On-site recruitment at the Green Bay Job Service from 8 am to 3:30 PM for Telemarketing positions, Neighborhood Marketing (Canvessers) and Inside sales persons for their company. Both full andpart time positions area available.
