N.E.W. Curative Rehabilitation Center of Green Bay, Inc.

NEW Curative Rehabilitation provides assessment, training and job development assistance to people with a wide variety of disabilities, along with economically disadvantaged and older adults. Other services include situational assessments in a variety of work settings, health assessments, vocational assessment, mental health services, day services, supported employment and sheltered work settings. Specific job training is available in the areas of Office Occupations and Custodial. Other pre-vocational training is also available. NEW Curative Rehabilitation is located at 2900 Curry Lane in Green Bay, Wisconsin. For further information, several NEW Curative Rehabilitation staff are located within the Job Center

Disability Navigator

The Disability Navigator Initiative was developed to assist people with disabilities to access and "navigate" through the various programs that impact their ability to gain, return to, or retain employment. Navigators work collaboratively with the Job Center system, organizations that provide services for individuals with disabilities, and employers. Within the business community, the Navigator can be viewed as a resource. Specifically, the Navigator can assist employers with the following employment issues pertaining to people with disabilities:
· Job Accommodations
· Work Opportunity Tax Credit
· Access Tax Credit/Deduction
· Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
· Disability-related information
· Adaptive equipment and assistive technology
· Physical accessibility

Benefits Planning, Assistance and Outreach The Benefits Planning, Assistance and Outreach Program (BPAO) goal is to assist individuals with disabilities in making informed choices about employment and work incentives.

Comprehensive Healthcare and Earning Query CHEQ: Comprehensive Healthcare and Earning Query--Provides information for understanding how work affects your eligibility for disability programs. Great Lakes ADA and IT Center - The Great Lakes ADA & Accessible IT Center also known as The Great Lakes Disability and Business Technical Assistance Center (DBTAC) provides information, materials, technical assistance and training on the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) and accessible information technology (IT). The ADA addresses all aspects of employment and the obligations of state and local governments and business to ensure that their programs and services are readily accessible to and useable by people with disabilities. Job Accomodations Network (JAN) JAN is a free consulting service that provides infomration about job accomodations, ADA, and the employability of people with disabilities. JAN is designed to increase the employability of people with disabilities by: 1) providing individualized worksite accommodations solutions, 2) providing technical assistance regarding the ADA and other disability related legislation, and 3) educating callers about self-employment options.

PASS Within this website you will find detailed explaination of the PASS (Plan for achieving Self-Support) program as well as a helpful tutorial on completing the application including the online vesion of the form that can be printed and saved

Psychiatric Disability An interactive and informative web site for people with a psychiatric condition that addresses issues and reasonable accommodations related to work and school. This is the only site designed exclusively to provide information about the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other employment and education issues for people with psychiatric disabilities.

RESNA RESNA is a professional organization of providers of assistive technology services, including job accomodations. This site contains a directory of certified professionals in the field.

Sensory Disability Information Wisconsin's Department of Health & Family Services website provides information, referral, support, and training for the deaf and hard of hearing

Social Security Administration This website provides information and employment support for persons with disabilities. Site includes information and linkages for: Youth with disabilities; Employers, Beneficiaries, Service Providers, advocates, etc.

Stout Vocational Rehabilitation Institute - UW-STOUT Vocational Assessment, assistive technology, disability management, and job placement services are available to enhance the employment potential of individuals with disabilities.

Ticket to Work A comprehensive national initiative designed to assist Social Security beneficiaries with disabilities to find employment, vocational rehabilitation and other support services from public and private providers.

Wisconsin Council of Safety Provides training, publications and consultation services on safety related issues including workers compensation and return-to-work programming.
